Half way through October? Really! I wish time would slow down, just a tad. Especially over the weekends. That’s not too much to ask, is it?
Did you all have a good weekend? Ours was good, kind of busy though. I definitely look forward to Monday and our low key scheduled days after busy weekends.
First I want to start off by saying that today, October 15th is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. I’ll be lighting 2 candles for my angels at 7pm tonight for an hour as a part of A Wave of Light. I encourage you to light a candle tonight for everyone out there that has gone through the loss of a pregnancy or infant.
The highlight of the weekend was going to one of our best friend’s 30th birthdays. The theme was Mad Men, which was FUN to find something to wear for. And I thought it was hard finding things when I was pregnant….Anyhow it was a fun night. Nana babysat AG and spent the night. I was home by 11, hubs stayed the night (and was the asleep before the party ended, shh don’t tell him I told). By 11, I was engorged, my feet hurt from wearing heels for the first time in many months and I missed my baby (even though she was sleeping). My how things change.
One of my goals this month was to get ahead on my Christmas shopping. I’ve been on the search for perfect gifts through deal sites, which is what I’m hoping will keep us under our holiday gift budget. This weekend I saw a Living Social deal for Vista Print. It was $10 for $50 worth of stuff. I immediately snatched it up and went to start shopping. I was able to find TONS of gifts I could give for Christmas. I bought desk calendars, made Christmas return labels, made 3 inch round labels that I’ll put on baked goods for neighbors and hubs work, personalized notepads and more. The deal is still going on, so go and get yours today.
I also bought another deal for a personalized IPhone case. It was for $20 for a case for the Iphone 5. Here is the one I went with. I figured it would be a good case through winter. This would also be another good gift idea. Not much time left on this one…
I have a goal to post every day this week and my posts are planned. I hope I’m able to get them all written and posted.
The weather towards the end of the week is going to be nice. I’d prefer 70’s for a high but I’ll definitely take lower 60’s for a low. I can’t wait to open the sliding doors, drink coffee on the patio and take AG on long cool walks.
Old Navy opened by my house this weekend and we went today. I’m in love with so many of their items and can’t wait to go back Wednesday to use my 40% off coupon! I’m still about 2 sizes away from my prepregnancy weight so I’m not going to buy too much.
Finally, the winner of the Giveaway I posted last week is……Kelsey from the Balch Bunch
Of course, I can’t leave you without a picture of my smiley girl. She’s sporting one of my three monogram pumpkin shirts (that she spit up all over minutes after the picture).
woop woop ! awesome!!
Thanks so much!!
xo

Lighting a candle tonight for you and your angels, and every other Mommy and baby out there. Thanks for sharing friend. Also, I totally hear ya about wearing heels for the first time after baby, so not easy. And yep, being engorged stinks! That happened to me twice on our first overnight trip away! Baby girl looks adorable in her pumpkin onesie! We are having some cooler temps this week too, finally!! I need to check out those deals. You are so on top of things, I'm impressed!
