Have you ever had one of those weeks you can’t wait to say good bye to?
This week was one for me.
A sick baby, ER visit, broken dining room table, no internet or TV, issues with closing on our house pretty much sum up my week. All that plus the fact that I haven’t gotten more than 5 hours of sleep in a row for the past week doesn’t help either. There was some good as well though. I found Super Target, Starbucks and pumpkin spice creamer. I also haven’t gotten lost yet. We’ve unpacked almost everything and I should be able to decorate for fall this weekend. You can always find some good =-).

I am ready for wonderful weekend filled with food, football and hopefully a healthy and happy baby girl!

Today we are closing on our house in FL.
This week has been filled with obstacles.
The HOA wouldn’t give their clear to close for ridiculous reasons.
1- I had a welcome vinyl sign on the door (it had been here for over a year). They thought I painted it on the door and threw a fit. Mind you, it had been there for over a year…
2- We had weeds in the front yard. Our realtor went and pulled them. They came back and said it wasn’t good enough. We had to pay a company to go out and take care of it twice because the first time they did it, it wasn’t good enough either! Gotta love the HOA. Ugh.
3- Our lanai wasn’t approved. This was a joke because we bought the house with the lanai built and didn’t have these issues when we bought it. I guess all of the houses in our neighborhood that have screened in lanai’s didn’t have approval. So we had to have a friend go out and measure everything for us, draw a sketch with the measurements and submit them.
Of course all of this happens the day after we move out to TX and the week of closing!
Hopefully today will go as planned and we can move on.

This is what I woke up to on Tuesday morning.
I can’t think of a better way to start my day.
I’m loving our house, especially the deck (minus the barking dogs next door).
And this view…it’s making this move a bit easier.

I finally got back in the kitchen this week. I don’t think I’ve cooked a meal or baked all month.
One of the first things on my list was my go to pumpkin muffin recipe. All you need are the two ingredients above. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. You can also throw in walnuts, raisins, cranberries or chocolate chips.

My Red Sox are on their way to the post season!

This is something I am working on everyday.
I like to be in control.
I like to fix things that are broken.
It’s hard for me to have the mentality of “it’s out of your hands”.
I know He is ultimately in control and I cannot change what is meant to be.
I have faith. I am a believer.
I am also a worrier. I worry a lot, mostly about things out of my control.
Lately, I have been working on saying a prayer when my mind begins to worry.
My prayers were answered this week and putting it in His hands took weight off my shoulders.
Happy Friday Friends! Hopefully I’ll have internet by Monday and I can get back to reading my blogs!
Sending you good vibes lady!
I love that pumpkin muffin recipe! I add far chocolate chips in mine!! Yummy!! Looks like I need to make a run to the grocery store! ;)) Wishing you a less eventful weekend! Hoping your baby girl feels better! This too shall pass!
Sending good thoughts your way, what a beautiful view you have!
Oh my gosh that HOA sounds like so much drama! I hope everything works out! And that view is making me want to move to Texas!
What a headache with the HOA! Sounds like they are being a bunch of arse holes. Too nitpicky.
Beautiful sunrise, hope you're adjusting well!
What a pain in the B HOA! So glad it's over and behind you now. Hope you have fun decorating for fall this weekend:) I plan to do the same thing! Hugs friend!
Welcome to Texas!
On a daily basis, I seriously remind myself to just take a moment, inhale, exhale and pray. Sometimes its easier said than done but in the end, HE has the last say. 🙂
I'm such a bad friend and blog reader! Did you guys end up finding a permanent house in TX?!
What a nightmare with the HOA. I don't really understand all that stuff, but it sounds like a major pain!
Have a great weekend!
Your view is amazing & I so need to make those pumpkin cupcakes 🙂
Giiirlfriend! That's ridiculous; HOA might be the most annoying organization ever. Everywhere. Naturally those things had to happen when you got to TX.
Sending some positive your way! Things will definitely look up.
LOVE the view btw; gorge!!
xoxo
I want that pumpkin recipe! Hope this week is so much better!
I hope your baby feels better soon. It's the worst when they're sick, especially when you have a lot going on. Thank God for Super Target and pumpkin creamer to make things a little better.
That Pumpkin recipes sounds delicious and super easy, which are the best type of recipes. I love that you can add different ingredients too, cant wait to try it.
