The Fourth of July is right around the conner. I am beyond excited for this holiday because we will be celebrating with my family. We have a BBQ planned and I have been working on the menu here and there, thanks to Pinterest of course.
Today, I’m teaming up with some of my favorite bloggers to bring you a festive recipe swap and link up to celebrate the fourth!
Here’s how it works: Each one of us is sharing a Fourth of July themed recipe and we are including a link up below for anybody who would like to join! Post your recipe on your blog and link up by next Tuesday, July 1. Entries will close and everybody will be matched up to another blogger’s recipe on Wednesday, July 2. Then, recreate the recipe making it your own and share your results of the swap by Wednesday, July 9.
We know everybody is busy soaking up the summer sun so we wanted to make sure you had plenty of time to get involved! We are excited to see what everybody comes up with!!

For the recipe link up, I chose patriotic parfaits. I’ve been trying to eat a tad healthier lately. Maybe because I know my glucose test is on the horizon, but really because I don’t want to have so much weight to lose after Luke makes his arrival. I figured this would be a good alternative to ice cream. My fridge is also always stocked full of fresh fruit this time of year. I whipped up some while making dinner last night, they honestly took 5 minutes to make. They satisfied my sweet tooth and were filling. Definitely going to be my new go to summer dessert!
Ingredients:
raspberries (fresh, washed)
blueberries (fresh, washed)
strawberries (fresh, washed, cut into quarters)
cool whip (you could also use pudding or greek yogurt)
graham cracker crumbs (granola would be a great alternative)
festive sprinkles
Directions:
It’s pretty simple, just layer the ingredients. I started with graham cracker crumbs on the bottom. On top of that I added strawberries followed by cool whip and a tsp of graham cracker crumbs. Next, blueberries then cool whip and graham cracker crumbs. Last later is raspberries with a dollop of cool whip, topped off with graham cracker crumbs and sprinkles.

Yum! I can't get enough raspberries so this sounds tasty. And everything is better with sprinkles.
This is a great idea! So fresh and light!
Love this!! Cool whip and berries are the best combo!!
