St. Patrick’s Day is almost here. Since I’ve been slacking with Mommy School lately, I figured this is the perfect week to get back in the groove. We’ve been working with AG a lot on her colors at home. Before her bath every night, we make a game of it with the balls in her ball pit. We’ll have her search for a specific color ball and ask her to bring us a specific number of them. She’s getting pretty good at it. She has most of her colors down but still gets confused with a few. Over the next few weeks, I am planning color themed weeks. I’ll focus as much of what we do on a particular color, from the food she eats to the toys she plays with and the crafts she creates. The more exposure and reinforcement she has, the easier it will be for her to learn.
I do love that she’s really getting into learning things. She asks to many questions. Specifically with colors, she’ll be doing something and then will say “Is this red, mama?” or “Mama, look I have the green crayon.” Makes my mama and teacher heart proud and it also makes me want to do more with her. Here are some of the things we have planned for GREEN WEEK. Make sure to follow along on Instagram to see these lessons in action throughout the week.

ooh I love all these ideas! We are also working on colors with noah! We use bath crayons in the bath and have him name the colors. This st pattys day we did more of a rainbow theme to get him naming all the colors. We did a rainbow pot of gold craft and had a rainbow themed breakfast… He loved it. You can check out my blog if you’d like :).

Love that idea!
These are great! Thank you!
We did Green Week this past week, too! I’m loving our color study weeks! Don’t forget to wear the color of the week, too, and get in on the fashion fun! Although having my daily outfit picked out by an almost two-year-old in search of the weekly color produces some eccentric ensembles!!
