Can you believe we’re already six weeks into summer? I may be buys planning fun back to school traditions I want to start with AG, but I’m not going to let that excitement stop me from continuing summer fun for her. This week is going to be rainy, so I’m hoping we’ll be able to get to our fun activities. We also have some catching up to do from last week since the no nap ninja was here all week and threw a bit of a wrench in our plans.
arts & crafts: Fruit Stamping. Last year, we did apple stamping for the letter A. I love the idea of adding to just apples and creating a fruit stamped masterpiece. This activity would be great for learning colors by encouraging your child to dip the fruit in the paint color that matches the fruit. We’ll be using apples, oranges, lemons and limes.
book cooks: If You Give a Moose a Muffin. Today, we’ll be reading If you Give a Moose a Muffin and make these apple banana muffins from Weelicious.
water fun: colored ice cubes in the water table or play pool. This activity is a great sensory activity. I have a feeling L will like it as much as AG does.
1, 2, 3 & abc: Toddler Busy Bags. It’s been a while since I’ve brought out the busy bags I created last summer. Since it’s supposed to rain a lot this week, I have a feeling we’ll need more activities than usual to keep little miss occupied. She’s at an age where she can do most of them on her own, which is perfect for when I’m feeding or nursing Luke.
fun Friday: We’re taking a trip to nana and papa’s for the day to enjoy some time in their pool.
What summer fun are you up to this week?
I just discovered your posts and i LOVE all that you do. I will be trying a bunch of your ideas with my 2-yr-old esp the busy bags!
