Around this time last year I shared a post on 8 family traditions to celebrate the start of a new school year. AG was supposed to start MDO last year but we found out we were moving short after I published that post. As soon as we got back to FL, I put her on the waitlist for a preschool in our area I wanted her to go to. Unfortunately, there weren’t any spots that opened up last year. It’s a school that is very much in demand in our area. Anyhow, as soon as registration opened up this past winter, I made sure to get our paperwork in. AG was able to get a spot and will be starting this upcoming Monday.
Tonight we’ll be heading to our first meet the teacher. AG already knows her teacher since she’s gone to camp there this summer, but we’re looking forward to going tonight. I’m looking forward to seeing her classroom, the littles she’ll be playing with this year and getting to talk with her teacher a bit.
I plan on bringing a little back to school gift for her teacher with us tonight. You can call it bribery. You can call it sucking up. Or as I’d like to look at it, just a thoughtful gesture saying thank you in advance and we’re looking forward to a great year. Besides, anyone who can spend all day with a bunch of threenagers….hats off to you. I’m sure the best thing to send would be a bottle of wine but since that isn’t the most appropriate, I took my search to Pinterest. Here are 10 simple back to school gifts I thought would be sweet but not too over the top.

Yes! As a teacher, I get it and I will do everything I can to help out my littles teachers and make them feel appreciated!
As a mom, it would be the good gift from me for my child teacher. Your idea inspires me more & it easily works for us. How can I thank you?
