This past weekend, we hosted out 2nd annual Easter egg hunt. The kids has a ball and loved hunting for eggs, opening them and of course, enjoying the treats that were inside. It was so nice to have our friends over and to watch all of the littles play together. We were exhausted come bedtime but it was worth it!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, holidays with kids are just the BEST. The excitement on their faces all day on Saturday completely filled my heart and made me want to freeze time. Thankfully, this was just the start of the Easter fun for my littles. This week we have festive things planned each day to keep us busy during spring break. Then this weekend we have our neighborhood egg hunt, family is arriving for Easter and on Easter morning we’ll plan another little egg hunt for just AG and Luke. I cannot wait.
Since we have a busy week coming up, I made sure to get the littles baskets ready this weekend. Last year, I did a garden themed basket for AG and a baby basket for Luke. This year, I did a one stop shop at Target for basket fillers. I was pretty proud of myself. I was in and out in about 30 minutes and didn’t go overboard when it came to spending.
Here is what the littles will be getting this year:
For AG, I focused on things for her to use. Coloring books, crayons, stamps, bubbles and some costume jewelry. I always get each little a book for every holiday, so there is a new book to add to the collection. Growing up, my mom always got my brother and I these chocolate bunnies for Easter. She still gets them for us to this day, so I’m continuing that tradition with my littles.

Luke is still so young for all the fun stuff, so his basket is a bit of a hodge podge this year. Bath toys, bubbles, a new sippy cup and a train- which I’m sure will be his favorite. He too has a new book and a chocolate bunny to enjoy!
Are the Easter baskets ready for your littles or do you still have some more shopping to do?
