Are your littles ready for the water this summer?
Did you know there was such thing as National Learn to Swim Day? Well there is and it’s this coming Saturday, May 21st.. Let me tell you a little about it. SwimWays started National Learn to Swim Day in 2012. The purpose of the day is to raise awareness about the importance of teaching children how to swim. With the summer almost here, it’s time to start thinking about your child and the water.
We live in Florida and we’re surrounded by water. As a mom, that is something that makes me nervous. I knew the most important thing I could do was start young getting my kids comfortable with the water and eventually teaching my kids to swim.
With AG we introduced her to water as a baby. She has always loved the water, from the first moment she went in. When she was just under three years old, we started her in swim lessons. She’s been in them for almost a year now and is doing amazing in the water. She’s confident, comfortable and aware. If she could pick one thing to do for fun after Luke’s nap each day, it would be swim.
This summer we’re going to focus on swimming sills and safety with L. Ya’ll know by now that L is our wild child. He’s a daredevil with absolutely no fear. I cannot take my eyes off of him. When it comes to introducing him to the water, I knew I needed a float that would keep him secure yet let him be able to experience the water at the same time. The SwimWays Spring Float is the best float we’ve ever used, the absolute best on the market. Hands down.
The first time we used it, my mom asked for us to get one for her house too because she was so impressed. It took me less than 10 minutes to blow up and put together. It has a canopy to block the sun and is fits into a 13×13 bag, which makes it easy to take on beach or pool trips. The mesh part that is between the floats, allows a little water to get in which makes it perfect for splashing. As you can see Luke loved it. It was the longest he’s ever been in the water and didn’t want to get out! If you’re introducing your baby to the water this summer, this is the float you want to do it with.
Now it’s time for you to get ready for National Learn to Swim Day. SwimWays encourages parents and caregivers to celebrate in their own way. Pools are opening all across the U.S in May, it is the perfect opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of water safety and teaching children to swim.

I am ready for our kids to take swimming lessons. We spend so much time at hte pool over the summer and I think at least for my oldest it would be beneficial. We use the puddle jumpers when at the pool and Cam loves his. We will see how Emmy does.
Why does Luke look so much like Avery all of a sudden? It’s like just in this post, I thought to myself my gosh! He looks like Sister!
