I survived the first week of summer. This week has been filled with arts & crafts, popsicles, outdoor fun and some meltdowns here and there. AG came down with a cold last weekend, so we took it easy on the playdate front, doing a lot at home. Today, everyone is feeling better so we’re heading to the zoo!
-summer fun-
My mama goal this summer is to take a half day completely off each day. This means work and social media. I want to be intentional with my time and really just want to have fun with the kids over these next 8 weeks. So far,
-breakfast obsession-
After seeing avocado toast all over social media the past few months, I gave it a try this week. You guys, I’m obsessed. I had it every morning for breakfast topped with cherry tomatoes and a little salt and pepper. So good!
-project complete-
The first project on my to do list for the summer was a chore chart for AG. She’ll be 4 in August and it’s time she start leaning more about responsibility. I kept it simple with her daily chores and so far, she loves it. The tutorial is coming next week! Next up on my list is a family command center.
-sweet summertime-
Did you see my desktop wallpaper post this week? I chose the watermelons with the calendar for my lock screen and have a slight obsession with it. Isn’t it perfect for summer?
-Nordstrom sale-
My mom and I had a girls day last weekend which involved the Nordstrom sale. I found some great deals, including these wedges and Zella pants. But, I passed on these Jack Rogers jellies and may have to go back for them this weekend. What do you think?
This weekend is hopefully going to be a low key weekend for us. I have a big list of house projects I want to start and work on. My husband asked if I was pregnant this week because he said I’m nesting. I’m definitely not and there will be no more kids for us, but I have been a little crazy with projects and organizing lately. My number one goal is to remove clutter and organize.

I love the chore chart. I’ve been thinking about using something similar to Connor but then think to myself, he is just a baby. But he isn’t. He is getting bigger and bigger each day so maybe I should drop the baby excuse 😉
