Hey Hey Friday! This week flew by. The 4th falling on a Monday definitely helped speed things along. I’m all about shorter weeks and weekends that get here on the fly. This weekend is the first weekend in about a month where there are no set plans. The only thing on the agenda is to relax and have fun with the kids. Is it 5 o’clock yet? I’m ready to get this weekend started!
As usual, here are some of my favorites…

Two weeks ago hubs and I took an annual trip with our friends. We go to a golf & spa resort that is just a few hours away. Last year when we went, it rained the entire weekend. This weekend was filled with sunshine, nothing but sunshine! It was glorious, a much needed break and getaway. I ate more thanI should have, enjoyed more cocktails in one weekend than I have all year and now have a tan. We also dressed up, played heads up at the bar every night and got some good pictures….Success!

One of my goals last month was to read a book. I decided on Big Little Lies based off how much I loved the last book I read by Liane Moriarty, The Husband’s Secret. I started the book on our trip and finished it the next weekend. I got completely sucked in by page 300 and read 600 pages in one day to finish the book. It was so good, definitely would recommend it if you’re looking for a fun summer read.
One of the things on my list to accomplish this month is finishing the art above our entryway table. I have one frame that I change out with the seasons, usually filling it with a festive print or subway art. I’m thinking this print would be perfect to finish out the summer months!

We’re checking things off of our summer bucket list left and right around here. Last week we headed to the zoo with Nana. It was still tough with the little one who just wants to get out and run, without holding hands or listening. But it was so much better than our first trip earlier last month. The trip with a bee sting on the back of a neck & the monstrosity of a meltdown which was followed by a quick exit. Can we also talk about how big these two look?!? This week we spent time swimming at Nana and Papas and can’t wait to go to the beach today!

Speaking of the beach today… I don’t think I ever shared the ones I decided on for the summer. Last month, my mom and I went to Nordstrom in search of a bathing suit for me. I had been dreading this task for months. I was specifically was looking for a one piece. I’m still getting used to my mom body and am far from confident in a bathing suit. I have been working hard this year to get back to my pre-baby weight and wanted to find something that was flattering but could also chase the kids around in. I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to find two suits. I only tried on about 6 and these were two of them. They’re comfortable, hold everything in and I feel confident in them, which is the most important thing. You have to check out the back of the black suit!
That’s all I’ve got today! Enjoy your weekend, friends!
Isn’t it fun to spend time with adults, doing grown-up things? It’s good to be a couple and not parents for a bit, you know?

I love those suits, they seem so flattering! I do the same thing with a framed print next to our entryway 🙂 Great goals!
I love that black suit! I’m a mommy to three boys, so I completely understand the hard work that goes in to a zoo trip. Sounds like you guys had a great weekend. We desperately need an adult weekend away!
Those suits are adorable! And what a fun annual trip you guys have with your friends!
Those suits are super cute…I especially love the 2nd one! I’ll have to look for those books you mentioned to add to my summer reading list, they sound good!
