PEEPS! One of the most popular Easter treats. My oldest loves them and my youngest can do without them. I always have one each year but they’re definitely not my favorite Easter candy. I bought some a few weeks back and decided to make something with them for some of my co-workers on Thursday. I thought about dipping them in white chocolate and putting them on a stick. Who wouldn’t want a chocolate covered peep on a stick?!? I designed some tags to go with and there you have it, treats for my peeps!
So here is what you’ll need. Lollipop sticks, peeps, white chocolate and sprinkles. With the white chocolate, the key is adding a tiny bit of coconut oil to white chocolate chips. Melting for 30 second increments at 50% power.
My kiddos both had fun dipping (dunking for one) the peeps into the melted chocolate. After they were covered, they added sprinkles and I did the lollipop stick.
Once they were finished, I placed them on parchment paper to dry. It didn’t take more than a half hour. If you were in a rush, you could also put them in the fridge if you want it done quicker.
How cute are these guys?!? And there are so many things you can make with them too.
After they were dry, I decided to put them in little bags and tie a ribbon to the bottom. You could also put them in a little basket with styrofoam and stick the peeps in and put Easter grass all around. That would also make a cute centerpiece too!
I hope our work friends will love their weekly treat this week.
We’re excited to pass them out treats for our peeps!
