Valentine’s Pretzel M&M Bites
Pretzel M&M bites are a favorite treat to make in my house. They’re so easy for the kids to help with and can be done for any occasion. Holidays are usually when we make them, thanks to all of the festive M&M’s in the stores. Plus, they’re bite sized which makes the perfect treat and also the perfect combination of sweet & salty.
They are great to put out at a party, playdate or can be bagged up for a little thinking of you gift with a cute gift tag. Think teachers, nurses, counselors, neighbors….

Over the years, I’ve made many different varieties of these bites. Basically the directions below are the same for each of them. Preheat oven, use parchment papers on a baking sheet. The rule of thumb when taking these out of the oven is if the chocolate is shiny, if it’s nice and shiny it is melted just enough to push the M&M’s into.

Here are a few different varieties you can try-
*Pretzels/ Hershey kisses/ mint M&M’s
*Pretzels/ Rolo’s/ Pecans
*Pretzels/ Hugs/ Cherry M&M’s
*Pretzels/ Hershey Kisses/ Peanut Butter M&M’s

- Preheat oven to 200. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Unwrap all of the Hershey's hugs and place them in a bowl. Line the baking sheet with pretzels. Place one hug on top of each pretzel. Bake for about 6 minutes or until the chocolate is shiny but not melted.
- Remove from oven. Place one M&M in the center of each Hug. Gently press down. Once they're all finished, place in fridge or freezer to cool. Don't move them until they've set completely. Store in an airtight container.

These are so cute. I’ve never seen it done with the square pretzels only the round. It seems like the squares would be more stable. Great idea about teacher gifts. Thanks!
