With Mother’s Day being this Sunday (tomorrow), I decided to do a post dedicated to the most amazing mother in the world. My mom and I have always had a very close relationship. She is without a doubt, my best friend. Of course, there were some rocky moments during my teen years, but who doesn’t have those? Growing up, we were inseparable. Wherever I was or whatever I was doing, she was there cheering me on. Whenever I needed advice, she offered it. Whenever I needed a shoulder to cry on, she lent hers. Whenever I needed to yell because I was so frustrated, she listened and remained calm. She knows just what to say to make everything all better, and also when to say nothing at all.
I always knew I was blessed when I was growing up. But as I’ve gotten older, I know just how blessed I really am. My mother is immediately loved by everyone she meets. She is the sweetest, most thoughtful person day in and day out. Believe it or not, I’ve NEVER heard her say a bad word about anyone before. EVER. I’ve also never heard her say a bad word! That’s where she and I differ, but I’m working on that! Honestly, she is always so calm and can get along with anyone. I’m so envious of that!
I hope one day I will be able to be the kind of mom my mother was to me. I know I will continue to have her guidance, advice, and always her shoulder to lean on. I’ve learned from her how to be a good wife and friend, one day I will add mother to that list. She continues to be an inspiration to me each day. In life, family is the most important thing there is. My family is the most important thing to me and my mom is the glue that holds our family together. Love you mom, Happy Mother’s Day.
