Week 17
Size: An onion
Total Weight Gain/Loss: +8
Maternity Clothes: Maternity pants, regular tops.
Stretch Marks: None, but my skin has been really itchy so I’m lathering up with lotion!
Gender: Revealing March 25th (we find out for sure on the 23rd)
Movement: I thought I felt something today while I was laying down.
Sleep: Crazy dreams. I need to start writing them down. I usually wake up for the bathroom and think to myself WTH! They are insane!
Cravings: Salad, which I don’t usually prefer.
Aversions: Milk and plain chicken
Symptoms: Sick one morning again this week, on 17 weeks on the nose. But, I’ve had a little more energy. I’m still in bed by 9, but I’m able to get more done throughout the day. I’ve been very itchy, which I hear is normal around this time. I’ve also had a lot of ligament pains and twinges, which again I hear is very normal. There seems to be a lot happening between weeks 16-18.
Labor Signs: None. WAY too early.
What I Miss: Nothing.
What I’m Looking Forward To: The big ultrasound appointment on the 23rd.
Best Moment This Week: Hearing everything is going well at our Dr appointment. It was a quick in and out, no ultrasound. He pressed on my belly and said WOW! that baby is growing! Then he did the doppler for 2 seconds, when I asked the heart rate, he said 160.
Thoughts: I’m loving being pregnant. I have a bump which makes it obvious that I’m with child. I love wearing maternity pants because they are so comfortable, it’s a lot easier to get dressed these days. People are starting to touch/ rub my belly, I don’t mind a bit. It’s so hard, it’s weird! I’m still super nervous about the 20 week scan and very much looking forward to the vital 25 week mark. This week is spring break for me so I plan to take it easy, start cleaning out our guest room/ nursery and getting ready for the gender reveal party.
I'm 17 weeks too!! I agree with you about limiting the things I read online. I was reading a lot of things on the pregnancy message boards and I started to worry about all the "what ifs". Just try to stay positive and enjoy all the little things!

i tried NOT to research things while pregnant… sometimes its just too much! you look great btw and I bet what you felt really was movement! when I "first" THOUGHT i felt something… I didnt realize it was real until days later when there was lots of movement… maybe your thoughts will be confirmed soon 🙂

I was so happy when they reconfirmed it was a girl at my 20 week appointment. Can't wait to hear what you're having. (It's feeling easier starting the second 20's than the first that's 4sure)
