Spring Break 2012 has come and gone. It was a glorious week filled with lots of friends, some relaxing, reading, crafting, cooking and much more. I had been working on a spring break to do list for about a month, hoping I would be feeling good enough to get a lot done. And I’m happy to report that I did a fabulous job with my to do list. The only down side is I didn’t do to much relaxing. I was on the go and pretty busy all week long.
Thankfully, this last weekend was amazing. Hubs and I went out to breakfast before he went to work on Friday and then on Friday night we went out to dinner with one of our favorite couples and their almost one year old! On Saturday, the five of us went up to the pool for the afternoon and then D and I crashed for the rest of the day. And on Sunday, mom and dad came over and took us to lunch. Then we came home and worked on a lot of fun projects. I can’t wait to share them when they’re done!
Now lets take a look at what kept me busy this week &
what I was able to cross off my list, shall we?
*Gender Reveal Party*
I did cupcake toppers, banners, a wreath, table decor, wrapped silverware, picture frames and much more. All we need now is the food and friends to fill the house (and to find out what Baby H is!).
The start of the decorations…
*Cooking & Baking*
I made dinner a few nights this week and was even able to get a little baking in for D’s work. All of the new recipes can be found at SMWL.
*Housework*
I got all of my laundry done (not quite folded and put away). I cleaned, changed all the air fresheners, gave the pups a bath. It was nice to have a clean house all week.
*Yard Work*
I don’t know what came over me, but I decided that I was going to revamp our front yard. I really wanted it looking good for spring and of course, the party next weekend. On Monday, I went to Lowe’s on the way home from shopping. I bought plants for the sides of our garage, one for the front door and more for the front yard. That day I started weeding and planted half of the plants. On Sunday, hubs and I finished everything. I was exhausted after all the work but am so thankful it’s done. It looks so much better now!
*Work Work*
I backed up my computer, which was long overdue. I also went through tons of my pictures and deleted about 2,000. I needed to free up some space on my hard drive. The only thing I was hoping to do was learn Photoshop. I just couldn’t fit it in this week.
*Fun Stuff*
I read TWO Nicholas Sparks books. My goal was to read one book, so I’m pretty proud that I was able to do two. I spent time working on my Facebook site. I’ve still got a lot to do, but it’s a start. I put out all of our Easter decorations. I definitely don’t have a lot of decorations, I’m going to have to hit up some sales this year.
Some of the Easter decor, thanks to Pinterest…
It’s going to be hard to wake up and go back to work tomorrow morning.
I’m officially on the countdown to summer…12 weeks.

A week off work is nice when you get to be productive, which you definitely were! Love your spring decor 🙂
You got so much done!! I always have grand plans, but end up sitting around and doing nothing 🙂
Wow! You were super busy! 12 weeks….you've got this!
You got so much done on your week off! That's awesome! I always have high hopes of getting lots done during my time off work, but I never end up doing as much as I had hoped.
Sounds like a fun spring break. When do you find out?
You were busy lady! Can't wait to see the pics from your gender reveal party…I know it's going to be great!
I am going to have to have you make some things for Baby B! 🙂
My goodness you got your money's worth out of spring break. My husband cleaned on some days off he had recently and I thought he was a little cuckoo. Maybe I'm the weird one. Cute Easter decorations. So glad you enjoyed!
Wow, you were very busy but productive!!
Love your Easter decorations. I want to make those also.
Busy busy! I definitely need to dig the Easter decor out, it's certainly more fun when there's decorations involved!
