This year my birthday is on Thanksgiving. I’ll be turning 29. Stepping into the last year of my 20’s. I can’t think of a better birthday to be celebrating on Thanksgiving than this one.
Last year, my birthday was a fresh start for me. 27 was a roller coaster of a year filled with too many lows. After a lot of soul searching and time to heal, I was ready to put that year behind me. I was ready to go into 28 with a happy heart and faith that 28 had great things in store for me. On the day of my 28th birthday we went to see a reproductive endocrinologist (RE) about starting our family. That day we also decided to put off trying to have a baby until we had gotten some answers from the RE.
God had a different plan.
A year later, I’ll be celebrating 29 with a 3 month old baby girl.
If you do the math, we got pregnant the week of my 28th birthday =-)
28 was more than I could have ever hoped for.
I’m thankful. I’m grateful. I’m blessed.
I honestly don’t know what I want for my birthday this year. I definitely don’t need anything. But, after being asked what some things were that I wished I had, I decided to put some thought into it.
Here is what I came up with.
Lulumelon Workout Clothes
Tory Burch Miller Sandals
May Book (blank pages)
Miss Dior Cherie Perfume
Vera Bradley Wallet
Naked 2 Eyeshadows
Starbucks Gift Card
What am I missing. It honestly took me hours to just come up with this. Unless it’s baby items and clothes, I’m out of the loop.
Anything you’re loving that you think I need or would like?
Today, I’m thankful for blogging. It started as a hobby and has turned into so much more. It’s my outlet, it connects me with other bloggers that have become friends, it pushes me to challenge myself and hold myself accountable, I learn about products that I would have never heard of and it’s my own personal scrapbook. Blogging is a community that I am proud to be a part of.
