April flew by, like all days and months lately.
Overall, it was a good month, although it was filled with some not so great things.
I’m happy to say goodbye and ready to welcome May with open arms.
So, welcome May.
The last month before we are officially half way through 2012.
May you bring beautiful weather, some afternoon showers, blooming flowers and many blessings.
{1} NO SHOPPING! This goes for our whole family. None of us need anything. AG is set on toys and clothes. D and I both did a lot of shopping in March and April. A lot. We’re done.
{2} Cut back on sweets. I have a sugar addiction and I need to get myself in check. now. So, I’ll be cutting out my afternoon coffee. I will be limiting dessert at night and making healthier choices. I want to make my own ice cream, make some healthy cookies and drink more flavored water. I hope that this will help get off the few lbs I have left.
{3} Complete three DIY projects for AG’s birthday party. I also am going to share the printables I created with you.
{4} Keep my flowers, herbs and fruit alive! If you follow me on Instagram, you saw all my beautiful new plants. I don’t have a green thumb, so it is a goal to keep them all alive for one month. Baby steps here.
{5} Plan mother’s day gifts and send them out. I’m sure I’ll end up doing something with AG’s footprints, which I haven’t done since she was a wee one. This will definitely be more challenging now that she is so active.
{6} Organize my closets. My closets are clean but they can definitely use more organization. There is a lot of things that we don’t need
{7} Make a list of the 30 Random Acts of Kindness that I will complete by my 30th birthday and do 3 of them.
{8} Start waking up earlier. When I was working I would sleep from 11-6, all I needed was7 hours of sleep and I was good to go. Now, I sleep until the baby gets up, which ends up being 8 hours most nights. My goal this month is to get up at 6:30 and be in bed by 11:30. That way I have time at night to work after everyone is in bed and I also have time in the morning to relax before the baby gets up. I also want to start running in the morning because it is too hot at night.
{9} Recreate 10 Pinspired outfits. This is definitely a step outside of my comfort zone. I am by no means a fashion blogger. Baby wear I can definitely do…mommy wear…a whole different story!
Now, lets take a look back at my April goals:
You may notice I changed my failed to didn’t happen this month. Fail is such an ugly word. I’m making goals, that right there is an accomplishment, getting them done is just icing on the cake.
{1} Create a birthday inspiration board for AG’s 1st birthday. Accomplished. I’ve also created party planning printables that have come in handy for planning. I’ll share them all in a post coming soon. I still can’t believe AG will be 9 months in 10 days.
{2} Start taking AG to Gymboree. Accomplished. We’ve been going twice a week. I’m glad I started taking her, it’s been nice to have a set plan Tuesday and Thursday.
{3} Do a blog giveaway with a few of my favorite things. Accomplished. Have you entered yet?
{4} Get back to budgeting. Didn’t happen. We were much better about eating out this month.
{5} Take the early childhood classes needed for the job I start in August. Accomplished. I took the courses but need to take the tests next week.
{6} Get our carpets cleaned and patio pressure washed. Didn’t happen. Maybe next month.
{7} Take AG to the zoo or aquarium. Didn’t happen. But we did just purchase Busch Gardens yearly passes. We’re looking forward to going on the weekends.
{8} Start 30 random acts of kindness for my 30th birthday. Accomplished. I paid for the person behind me at Starbucks and made a donation to Good Will. I need to start mapping out the rest.
What are your goals this month?
If you haven’t made any, what are you waiting for?
Great goals girl!
That's a great list of goals! 🙂 You can DO IT!
Love your list of goals! Everytime I see your list, it reminds me to go make mine!
My goals are posting tomorrow – some of ours are similar!
I like the pinterest recreation one though, I should try that.
great goals! I always used to post goals but since the last couple months since Haddie Grace has been born (april and may) I haven't! I guess the time just has gotten away from me!
