One of the big projects on my list for this year is a playroom for AG. Right now, the entire house is her playroom. She has an area upstairs area that houses some of her toys but the majority of her stash is downstairs. You can’t take three steps without either running into or tripping over toys.
My goal is to leave a few toys downstairs and put the rest upstairs. It’s easier to contain up there and doesn’t make me feel like my house got hit by a tornado on a daily basis. I want to get a little desk for her so that we can do our mommy school up there each day. I want the room to be bright & bold, but most of all…FUN!
I would love a chalkboard wall, an organized area for crafts and another for books, a cute table and chairs, a fun rug and prints for the wall. Hobby Lobby has some really cute things in primary colors right now, I may have to start picking up things here and there.
Take a look ay my playroom inspiration:
We are in the same boat! I have two kids, each have their own room plus we have a playroom which is actually just a formal dining room so it's tiny. Toys are still everywhere though! My goal this month is fixing that! Those pics have some great ideas, good luck!
I really need a better way to display books in my toddler's room. They're on a proper bookcase so just spend most of their time on the floor! Some lovely ideas here.
I love all of your ideas. We had to turn our dining room (which is attached to our living room) into a play room for our one year old twins. I hate it, but at least it keep the toys out from under our feet!
This looks so so much fun! I wish I had a dedicated space for all the toys too. We have them downstairs and up in her room, but a whole room dedicated to them would be awesome. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
playroom's are soo fun to put together and decorate. ours is a continuous work in progress!
I love all the bright colors!! and i have always loved all the letters on the wall!
So cute! I love the chalkboard idea!
I love all of your ideas! Ours is so pink and girly right now and I regret it because of Sam! Once we move again, I will redo it to make it more gender neutral! Can't wait to see the final product!
Love all the inspiration pics! I know the room will be perfection!!! I wish we had space for a playroom!
Love all of the inspiration, but those last two pictures are my FAVORITES! We have a corner in our living room dedicated to housing toys, but I so wish we could have a room devoted to it! Hopefully we'll have the space in our next house. We have the Ikea Expedit shelf, and it's the best thing EVER for corralling everything!
These are all so much fun and perfect spaces for little people… We are in the process of getting our playroom put together too, and we have also included the library shelving idea – love it!
