Well, we survived our first full week back in Texas. Of course we are missing FL family and friends already. Thankfully this week has flown by. Mini did well adjusting back to TX life. I was really worried about that one. She had become so attached to me while we were in FL, I was worried she’d freak out at the gym and when we were out and about this week. Besides her minor tantrums here and there, she was her usual sassy self.
Today, we spent the morning at the zoo with my moms group and daddy should be home soon for a long weekend. We have lots of plans of cleaning out our house and ORGANIZING! I guess you can call it nesting. We are only in this house for another 6 months or so. The thought of having to pack things up with a newborn gives me an instant headache. So I have decided the more we can do and get rid of now, the better.
Now, onto my random dump of photos and thoughts from the week for Five on Friday with The Good Life, Carolina Charm, A. Liz Adventures, and Hello Happiness.
Can we talk about this adorable dress!?! My mom made it for her while we were home in Florida. We picked out the fabric at Hobby Lobby when she was here in February along with the dress pattern. I cannot wait for my mom to retire so we can team up and work together for SMWL. She is so talented.
And AG’s face in this picture…she was amazed by the squirrels going up and down the trees.
This past week I finally did some meal planning. I don’t think I’ve posted a meal plan since February. Mom fail. Blogger fail. Anyhow, I’ve been determined to put some healthy meals on our table. This week one of my favorites was easy quinoa taco bowls. I used ground turkey and quinoa for the base. Then, I put out a variety of toppings for hubs and myself to create out bowls. They were so easy, healthy and filling. AND…TODDLER APPROVED!
I’ve been busy this week working on summer samples. One of the things I struggle with in this embroidery business is finding the time to get samples out before the new season starts. I’m always rushing to get things out along with the new orders coming in. Here are some of the samples I worked on this week. More summer shirts can be found in the summertime album.
I FINALLY ordered AG this table with chairs from Ikea. I’ve been searching for a cute little table for her for a few months. We don’t have an Ikea near by so I was hoping I would be able to find something at a local store. Unfortunately, there was absolutely nothing that was under $100 and what we were looking for. This one is only $19.99 and shipping is $15. So even with shipping it was worth it. I haven’t told hubs yet though. It’s not a big fan of putting Ikea furniture together. I know it will be worth it though. AG will love it.
Next week is a big week for our little family. On Wednesday we find out what baby #2 will be. To say I’m excited would be an understatement. We don’t have a big reveal planned like we did for AG. I’m actually not sure how we will reveal the news once we find out. Guess I better get on it! Now for the big question…what do you think? Boy or Girl?
Incase you missed it….
gender reveals are so exciting! can't wait to hear pink or blue!
The table is SO easy to put together. We got one last week and it literally took me 10 minutes. My 3yo loves it.
That taco bowl looks yummy.
So exciting! When are you due? I am a first time mom, due November 16th! Can't wait to find out 🙂 Love your blog! I started following the Journey to Parenthood series as my husband and I were trying for a year and had to be put on medicine to help. We are just so blessed to have a little one on the way now and reading those posts from the woman who struggled and finally got their prayers answered really helped me during our time of trying to conceive.
I love that dress your mom made for Avery! I think it's another girl!!!
Yay for gender reveals!!! If you don't mind me asking where Texas do you live? I am moving there August first for a job and have never even visited!!
I LOVE that dress. Your Mom is so talented!
So exciting!!! Can't wait to hear what baby is!
I can't wait to hear! I think it's another girl 🙂
