AG’s 2nd birthday is just over two months away. We decided to have a little playdate party here in TX and a big birthday party when we go home to FL next month. At first, I was planning a Mickey birthday party. I did a lot of pinning and had great intentions for the party. A few weeks ago I unpacked my Cricut machine to get started on the decorations. I quickly realized I was missing a cord for it. Since I was planning on using my Disney cartridge to make most of the decorations, I quickly started to rethink the theme. I came to the conclusion it would be too much work without the Cricut.
I started the planning process all over again. I searched themes and decided on Sprinkles. The party will be in the heat of the summer. What’s better than ice cream and sprinkles? I’ve had so much fun planning this party. This theme really ended up being the perfect fit for an out of town party. We’re just serving sweets and treats since it’s in the mid afternoon. I only have to do a little bit of printing here and everything else can be done when we get to FL. My only concern is what to do for the littles at the party. My parents have a pool but we didn’t want to do a pool party since all the kids are three and under. We decided we are going to do little stations set up for the kids. Bubbles, chalk art, coloring and a little bounce house. I can’t wait to celebrate our little lady turning TWO!!!
I’ve also been pinning away, you can check out all of my pins on the board below.
If you need any cute Mickey ideas you’ll find some on there too!

I love a sweet & simple theme like Sprinkles! You've pinned so many cute ways to incorporate it too 🙂 I made the sprinkled number cake topper for Owen's first birthday and it turned out pretty cute — not perfect though. I love the balloons and cookies! Maybe as an activity you could let the kids decorate their own sugar cookies with a variety or colored frosting and sprinkles? Can't wait to see how it all comes together!
I can't wait to see how adorable this party will be! I mean, who doesn't love sprinkles!!
LOVE this theme my friend, happy planning x
This theme is so cute! And I think keeping it simple with the food and the activities is perfect with 2 year olds!
Loving the theme. Can't wait to see it all together
Adorable! I love sprinkles so I cannot wait to see all your ideas. Such a cute theme.
Leah that will be the cutest party. I so can't wait to have my little girl and have an adorable party like this!
