One of my goals this year is to eat better. While pregnant with Luke, I pretty much gave myself a pass when it came to eating right. I tried my best but indulged when I wanted to. Same went for the first three months of his life. I look back and wish I had more self control than I did, especially during the holidays. But I can’t go back, so it’s time to move forward.
This eating change will not only benefit me but hubs and the kids as well. I’ve gone through all of our food and tossed everything that was full of things that weren’t good for us. I have been more mindful with the things I buy from the store and have already started to notice a difference. My overall goal with this is the 80/20 rule. I want to eat 80% clean and will leave myself the 20% wiggle room while adding in daily exercise. It’s time for this mama to get her pre-pregnancy body back!
One thing I did learn last year (before I became pregnant) is that cooking and eating clean isn’t as hard as I thought it would be. There are delicious recipes out there that are pretty darn easy.
