This week has been a whirlwind. Monday was a rough day. I felt like I was in quicksand. L was up 5 times the night before. I woke up at 5 to work and he woke up at 5:15. Then when he went down for a nap at 8, AG was loud and woke him up 20 minutes later. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t keep my head above water. It seems like there is always one day each week where nothing goes as planned. Thankfully there are six other days where I can catch up and regroup. I was happy to put Monday behind me and the rest of the week flew by.

The biggest thing that happened this week is AG started school. It’s only summer camp, but she’s going two mornings a week for the month. She’s going to the place where she’ll be going in the fall. I figured the summer would be a good transition for the fall. Daddy took her on the first day because I thought I’d be a mess. She did great, didn’t cry and was a happy girl at pickup. I took her on Thursday and there were tears. Broke my heart. I couldn’t wait to pick her up and thankfully her teacher said she was absolutely fine all day. Yay! I’m beyond proud of her. When we got home (after an ice cream celebration) I looked in her backpack and there was artwork. I teared up taking it out of her backpack. I don’t know how my baby girl is old enough to start school, let alone turn THREE next month. I’m beyond proud of the little lady she’s becoming.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here! The sale started yesterday for cardholders. As soon as I finished making my coffee yesterday morning, I headed up to the office to see what they had. Of course, I checked Sheaffer’s blog, Pinterest Told Me To for all of her must haves while I did my shopping. I got a few things but my favorite find was these Kendra Scott earrings. I’ve wanted a pair for a while now and the price was just right!

All month, I’m having a Christmas in July sale. Every week, there will be one or two items on sale for a few days. Right now, the monogrammed tumblers are only $9! Over the next few weeks, vinyl decals, canvas totes, accessory bags and monogrammed bows will be on sale. Maybe a few more things along the way. I need to get better about menu planning and cooking. Need to. While I have been cooking, I haven’t been trying any new recipes. We’ve had the same meals on repeat and I know we’re all ready for a change. One recipe that is on the list to make is this pesto shrimp pasta.

That’s all I’ve got for today. Our weekend will be filled with birthday parties and house projects.
