Summer Fun Week #8

It’s the last week of July and before we know it the littles will be back to school. AG still has three more weeks of her summer camp before she officially starts preschool at the end of August. She’s definitely ready and I know she’ll love it. This week will be the last week for the summer fun series. We’re going to take a few weeks off and I’ll be busy getting things planned for Mommy School to kick off in September. I also have at least one activity from this series that we never got around to doing every week. So, we’ll be going back through and revisiting our favorites while checking some off the list over the next month.

arts & crafts: Windstocks This craft looks simple and I think AG will love it. I’ll let her make a few, using paint, crayons and the paint dabbers.

book cooks: Since we did If you Give a Moose a Muffin last week, I figured this week would be the perfect time for If you give a mouse a cookie! The rain looks like it will be here a lot again this week, an afternoon baking cookies will be a perfect way to beat the rainy blues.

water fun: Ice Cube & Shaving Cream Painting: I plan on letting AG do this activity in her water table and in the kiddie pool. She can paint away and then I can easily hose her off afterwards.

1, 2, 3 & abc: Play-doh mats. I’ve been wanting to try these with AG for a few years now. I think she’s finally old enough although, she’ll definitely need some help getting started with these. This week we’ll start with the basic shapes and go from there!

fun Friday: Library and Ice Cream. AG will be spending the weekend with nana and papa while hubs and I go away for his birthday. So, before I leave, we’ll take a trip to the library for some new books and then go on a little ice cream date to make sure she’s all sugared up for nana and papa!
