Are you all ready for the weekend? I sure am! The high this weekend will be in the 70’s and I cannot wait. I foresee lots of time being spent outside, maybe some ice cream or a trip to the zoo and definitely the park. Hopefully some sleeping in, relaxing with the windows open and good food can be added to that list. Sounds like a pretty good weekend, right?!
I have a bunch of random stuff for ya’ll today. Lets get to it.
Speaking of gorgeous weather….nighttime has been the best this week. I have been enjoying the patio after the kids are in bed all week. There has been a beautiful breeze and the sunsets are icing on the cake. It’s been such a nice way to unwind each night.
Over the past two weeks, I’ve been revamping my printable section on here. If you’re looking to get a head start on Mother’s Day gifts, you can download the print below which is perfect in a frame with gorgeous flowers or a nice candle.
If you follow me on IG, you may have seen my post about meal prep and my struggle with cooking since L has been born. Well friends, this week we haven’t eaten out once! I cannot tell you the last time that has happened. It’s been so nice and no where near as hard as I thought. Before kids I was going to Pinterest for a new recipe every night. I forgot how easy it was to throw some panko crumbs and parm on some chicken, whip up some veggies and call it a meal. This week I made pork chops, chicken, shrimp pasta, tilapia and I have steak for dinner tonight. One thing that did help was prepping this food on Monday. Veggies and fruit were sliced, I cooked apple chicken sausage to have for breakfast or lunch and even sliced lemon for water. Lets hope I can keep this up.
Speaking of dinner issues. This child of mine has decided he doesn’t want to sit in his highchair to eat anymore. We even tried a booster seat at the table for him and he wants no part of that either. He just wants to sit in my lap and be fed….you win some, you lose some.
Spring and summer items are shipping out daily over at Simply Made with Love. This month I’m having a spring cleaning sale with new items added every Friday. If you’re looking for gifts for bridal showers, teacher appreciation, Mother’s Day and more….head on over to the shop!
Now that the warmer weather is here, I have my eye on some new pieces from Loft. I’m going to wait to do my shopping until they have a sale though. They have some sort of sale every other week so it’s crazy to pay full price for anything from there. Here are some things I have my eye on.
Is this dress not perfect for summer?!? You can dress it up with heals and jewelry or dress it down with flip flops.
I’ve had my eye on this tank for a few weeks. I tried to get it during their last sale but it was sold out in my size. Hoping they have it in the store next time I go.
Cheers to the weekend friends! If you need an amazing classic margarita recipe, head on over to my recipe blog!
OMG! Reid has been refusing to sit in his chair or booster seat too- mama’s lap is the ONLY place he will eat. I fought it for a while but recently just gave in. Meal time is no longer a time I can unload the dishwasher etc since now i’m sitting with him! Oh well! It will pass! I keep telling myself this because 15-16 months has been tough!!
Oh yes, I’m right there with you. That was the only time I was able to get the dishes done. It’s definitely tough. IF he were older, I’d fight him on it but for now, it’s not worth it when he doesn’t really get it. I’d rather him eat. I know it’s just a season 😉
Yum

Cheers to the weekend! That drink looks so yummy and I may need one in my future. Emmy would much prefer sitting in my lap too. I’m seriously not as cool as she thinks I am. But I’ll take it. 🙂 That dress and shirt are both adorable. I love them. With some sandals you’d be set. HAve a great weekend.
