This post was sponsored by SwimWays as part of an Ambassador Program for Influence Central. I received products to facilitate my review.
Living in Florida means most of the year is swim season. The pools are open all but a few months. Jumping in the pool is one of the best and most refreshing ways to beat the Florida heat.
With AG, introducing her to water was something we were looking forward to. She loved the bath and we knew she would love the pool as well. We also knew how important it was for her to learn to swim. While we don’t have a pool in our backyard our neighborhood has one at the clubhouse and my parents have one as well. We wanted AG to be comfortable around pools with safety being our number one goal.
One of my favorite products I used with AG while introducing her to the water was SwimWays baby spring float with a sun canopy. It allowed AG to be able to splash and play in the water, while being shaded from the sun. It’s convenient to take to the pool, lightweight and dries fast. It met all of the requirements as a parent and definitely was baby approved as well. I’m looking forward to using the same product for Luke once pool season starts.
This year, I’m excited to be an ambassador for SwimWays. SwimWays has been teaching children to swim for over 40 years, they have even developed a Swim Steps program, which is great for parents. The program offers products for all skill levels, which helps build their confidence and comfort from the beginning. The stages of the program are water introduction- being comfortable in the water, water exploration- giving freedom of motion to your child can explore and swim training- using the Power Swimr™ training system, training wheels for the water.
As a parent, the gradual increase of this program is what appeals to me. Since Luke hasn’t spent much time in the water, it is what I’ll be using to teach him. We will be starting with the baby spring float in grandma and grandpa’s pool. What I found beneficial when putting AG in the water float in the beginning was just having her and I in the pool. Other people, splashing, etc can be a bit of a distraction. So, it will just be Luke and mama exploring and getting comfortable with the water. Once Luke is comfortable, big sister can jump in and we can all enjoy the pool together!
You can find the SwimWays products at Toys “R” Us.
We have one of the same floats. They are great though I could barely get my kids in them because they wanted to play. Ha ha. Love the program you will use to get Luke comfy with the water. So ready for summer.
