Ya’ll, last night was the first loooong night in a some time. You know it was rough when you wake up at 6am and you’ve already clocked 500 steps. My sweet boy had a rough night last night. I don’t know what exactly was wrong but he was up from 12-3am. I’m completely exhausted. Today will have to involve a trip to Starbucks and maybe Target too. I’m praying that this isn’t the beginning of anything. Thank goodness it’s Friday!
Lets get to the fun stuff from the week.
The weather has been summer-like this week. There were a few afternoons that hit 90. I always forget how HOT it gets here in the summer months. While our neighborhood pool isn’t warm enough for the littles yet, my parents pool is. We headed over one afternoon this week and the kids had a ball. Luke was a little hesitant of the pool at first but warmed up quickly. The kids always love being with nana and papa, everyone had a fun time. Now that my mom is retired, we’ll be taking trips to their house once a week for pool fun.
I need to get a new swimsuit for the summer now that I’ve lost most of the baby weight and am a tad smaller than last summer. I have my eye on this one right now, the back is the best part of the suit!
Last week, I told you all that I ordered this water bottle from Amazon. It arrived and it definitely lives up to the great reviews. My favorite infused combination this week has been watermelon and mint. I’m going to order another for my mom for Mother’s Day.
I’m on the hunt for more fun toys outdoor toys for the kids. AG loves to help me garden. I think she’d love this set. I mean, how cute would she look pulling this wagon around?!? I also think Luke will love these to use in our sand box.
On Tuesday, we made a quick run to Target for some necessities. After making it through the entire list without a meltdown from either child, I decided a Starbucks treat was necessary. I intended to get an iced tea and then saw the sign that the Smores Frappucinno was back. It’s my favorite summer drink and so so bad for me. I asked the barista to make it as skinny as possible, which ended up being one pump mocha, sugar free vanilla, non fat milk and very light whip. And for the next few days, they’re half off in the afternoons.
I’m now off to try to nap while the little one naps. Lets hope he takes a long one to make up for last night and doesn’t spend the day as a grumpy monkey!
Happy weekend friends!
