Happy Friday! Today is the last day of 3 year old preschool for AG. I cannot believe she’ll be in pre-k next year. Craziness. We’re definitely ready for the summer over here. Ready for no schedule, playdates with friends, lots of pool time and hopefully successful learning at home activities.
We’re kicking things off today with a fun bucket waiting for AG when she gets home from school filled with water toys and ice cream.
Is school out in your neck of the woods yet?
-teacher gifts-
This morning we have her bubble wands ready to go for her friends and I finally finished the teacher gifts last night.
-norstrom sale-
One of the major to-do’s tomorrow is swim suit shopping. I’m taking the morning and heading to Nordstrom in hopes of finding the perfect summer suit. I want one I can run after the kids in yet doesn’t scream MOM suit. I’ll also be checking out of their sale items while I’m there. Here are some of the things I have my eye on!
BP Wedges / Vigoss Cropped Jeans / Sam Edelman Sandals / BP Earrings
Kate Spade Wallet / BP Necklace / Swing Dress / lip balm
-wedding-
It’s been a week since all of my brother’s wedding festivities started. I haven’t blogged about it yet, but the weekend was incredible. So much family came from out of town, everything Lauren had planned came together without a hitch and best of all, I have a sister in law! My husband and my in laws were amazing throughout the weekend with the littles. They took over so that I could really enjoy the wedding festivities without having to run after them all day. Both kids rocked the aisle but did have to be taken out of the ceremony. Thankfully there was no major screaming just a little fussing. And L definitely walked down the aisle with a dum dum in his mouth. Pick your battles, right?!?
-memorial weekend-
Summer kicks off with memorial day this weekend and we have a lot of fun things planned. We’ll be having some friends over this weekend and going to a big party on Sunday. I’ve been thinking of what I want to make and these two things are definitely on my list.
The avocado salsa is so easy and a different twist on your typical guacamole.
If you’re looking for a side dish, this is our favorite pasta salad. It’s so stinking easy to make and will be a hit with guests!
Any red, white and blue recipes you’re planning on making this weekend?
Yay for schools out – so weird for us as we follow the calendar year so we start in January and end in December… Happy holidays x

That is crazy! Although it totally makes sense, I kind of wish ours was like that!
Love the teacher gift! Such a cute idea. Hard to believe it’s summertime already. Have a great weekend!
Thank you Jessica! You too!
