All American Snack Mix
Holiday snack mixes have become a tradition around our house. I’m a lover of all holidays and any reason to celebrate. This also includes being a sucker when it comes to all things festive in the stores, including special cereals, candies and decor. To make sure I can easily throw together a festive snack mix, I always stock up Chex cereal when it’s on sale or I have a coupon from Publix, since it’s the main ingredients in a good snack mix.
With the 4th of July right around the corner, I decided to share an easy recipe for an All American Snack Mix. Best of all this snack mix is gluten free. We usually have a friend or two that doesn’t eat gluten at our get togethers. I am mindful when planning the menu and make sure to have gluten free options for my guests. This is a great snack option that everyone can enjoy.
All American Snack Mix Ingredients:
2 cups Rice Chex Cereal
1 cup Red, White & Blue M&M’s
1 cup Gluten Free Pretzels (Snyder’s Gluten Free Sticks)
1 cup Gluten Free Popcorn (Orville Redenbacher)
1 cup Marshmallows (Kraft)
Directions:
Pour all ingredients into a large bowl, mix and serve!
I love how a good snack mix gives you the perfect combination of sweet and salty. They’re easy to throw together at the last minute and put out at a party for guests to snack on. If it’s a party with littles, I always have little cups for the kids to have their own mix. Kids can be pretty picky when it comes to food. Chances are with a snack mix, the kids will find at least a few things they like in there.
Now, all you have to do is head to your local Publix with this coupon for $1.00 off when you purchase two select General Mills cereals.
Did you know that your favorite cheerios, chex and lucky charms were gluten free? Now is definitely the time to stock up. You’ll be set for summer and can easily whip up a snack mix at any time!
There is also a PayPal $15 giveaway below that you can use to get everything you need to make your own snack mix.
Of course, I had to let little miss test it out and it is definitely child approved. She went after the M&M’s first, a girl after my own heart. The popcorn was the next to go, followed by the Chex cereal. This will definitely be added to the menu for our 4th of July party and upcoming playdates too.
I love quick and easy snacks like this that you can whip up before a party, or at the beginning of the week to have on hand at home! Thanks so much for sharing! And I love that it’s festive for the fourth of July!
Great recipe, fast, easy, simple and just in time for red, white and blue M&M for the 4th. I will be changing this up for all the holidays.

Have you tried the Vanilla Chex? It is amazing!!! Tastes like birthday cake- it would be delicious in this mix. It also is yummy in cereal bars!
I love this snack. Mix idea. I make lunch for one gluten free child and I think he will love this!
I would love to try the Lucky Charms. I grew up eating that and am so happy it is now gluten free.
I eat GF so I appreciate this!! 🙂 It’s great all those cereals are officially GF now, especially for children with celiac. I’ve never tried popcorn in a mix like this, might have to!!
