Something I look forward to every holiday season is sending and receiving Christmas cards. Getting the mail every day in December is exciting, seeing the beautiful pictures and sweet words from family and friends is even better. It’s one thing that adds to the joy and magic to the Christmas season. It’s a favorite Christmas tradition of mine.
Last week, our cards arrived. I was so excited to get them from Tiny Prints again this year. Their cards are high quality and there are so many options to choose from. I couldn’t begin to tell you how long it took me this year. I started by choosing 3-4 favorite pictures from a photoshoot we had a few weeks back. Then from there, I went through ALL the cards on the Tiny Prints site. Yes, all of them. Once I have my favorites selected, I go through and put in the pictures. Tiny Prints even has a feature where you can put your picture in every card so you can see how it looks. I used it last year but this year I couldn’t decide on if I wanted to do just one picture on the front or multiple. Once I selected my card, I had fun searching for matching envelopes. I found one that matched my card exactly and added our address to the back, which saved on me ordering return address labels this year. I also love the way it looks. Tiny Prints even has the option for them to address the envelopes for you. I’m weird and enjoy hand writing the cards, but I love this option!
Like I said, my cards arrived and I couldn’t wait to see them! I immediately set some time aside the following weekend to start getting them ready to send.
I always try to plan an early morning to get up and do the cards while the littles are sleeping or when LM is napping and big sister is doing arts & crafts. My necessities for Christmas cards are always festive candles, washi tape, good pens, cards and Starbucks. After I get all of my supplies ready, I turn on a Christmas movie or music. Since AG was up with me on this day, we both decided on music!
While I’m going to wait to unveil our 2016 Christmas card, I will show you a few sneak peaks! Here is the bottom corner of the card. Just gorgeous, right?!?
After they’re all stuffed, washi tape closes the back and they’re ready to be addressed.
I alternated red and green for the front of the cards this year. I kept to a simple script for addressing, I didn’t want to do anything big to take away from the beauty of the front of the card. Now they’re ready, waiting to be shipped on December 1st.
Do you have a Christmas card tradition every year? Don’t forget to check out all of the beautiful cards from Tiny Prints.
Christmas cards are just the best. They bring such joy to your mailbox.
