As a mom of a little one with two amazing teachers this past year, I took every opportunity to let them know how much I appreciated all they did. One of the gift ideas I did over teacher appreciation week this past year were African Violets with a little printable “thank you” attached. Today, I’m sharing the “Thank you for helping me grow” Free Printable Tags with you.
“It takes a big heart to help shape little minds.”
While I used these tags for teacher gifts, they can really be used for a variety of purposes. Dance teachers, Coaches, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Grandparent’s Day….think about everyone involved in your child’s life that in some way is helping him/her. This printable gift would work to show your appreciation.
The entire gift took about 10 minutes to put together. I found the little African Violet plants at Lowe’s and had the rest of the materials used at home.

First, you can find the printable here. Just download and print.

Next, I put some tissue paper around the outside of the plant. I used twine to tie the printed tag on and hold the tissue paper up. That’s it. Simple as that.

Have your child sign his/her name and you have a thoughtful gift. This tag would also be great to add to succulents. I love having succulents in my classroom because they aren’t as hard to care for. Basically I can have water them once a week and they stay alive. My kind of plant!

If you want to make it even easier, just glue the tag onto a popsicle stick and place it in a plant. Skip the frill and twine and it looks just as cute.
