School officially started this past week, which is why things have been so quiet on the blog front. For a teacher, the first weeks of the school year are completely overwhelming and absolutely exhausting. I spend a lot of time wondering where summer went and why it had to go by oh so fast!
This past summer was one of the best I’ve ever had. After being back to work for the last year and no longer home with my littles, it was nice to have a lot of quality time with them. I can confidently say that we made the most of everyday this summer. Whether it was going to the pool, the beach, or just staying home and playing outside. We kept busy, made memories and enjoyed each other. I’m grateful for the time to be able to do this. One of the many perks of being a teacher.
While I’m going to miss pretty much everything about summer, there are a few specific things I’m already missing…
I always made sure to pack snacks for our trips.
two. checking things off our bucket list.
A water balloon fight was one of the last items I checked off and probably one of the most fun we did at home. The kids were hilarious throwing them at each other. Then, they realized how much fun they were to play with in their pool and ended up spending lots of time putting them down the slide.
three. bug hunts and walks around the neighborhood.
four. slow mornings drinking coffee, reading a book and watching the kids play.
Our outside time always called for a quick and easy mid-morning snack.
five. trying things for the first time, mini golf was one of the adventures.
Both of my littles have Danimals smoothies once a day. They’re one of those items I’m always going to the store for. As a mom, I love that they’re easy to grab and take on the go. No matter where our adventures took us this summer, they we easy to bring with. Head to Walmart and pick yours up today.
