I cannot believe Thanksgiving is just over a week away. I feel like Halloween was just yesterday, I’m sure I’ll be saying the same about Thanksgiving in a few short weeks. Last week, I was reminded by my oldest little that I hadn’t made any new lunch box notes for Thanksgiving. Honestly, I hadn’t thought much about it. I was just planning on using the school themed ones I had left from the beginning of the year. But, seeing her excitement for all things holidays brings me so much joy. So that night, I got to work creating new lunch box notes.
We only have a few days left until Thanksgiving break. As a teacher, I’m so ready for a week long break. As a mom, I cannot wait to soak up time with my kids without alarm clocks, without trying to cram everything we want to do into the after school hours and most importantly without HOMEWORK! I’m sure I’m not alone on that one. Plus, with Thanksgiving break, comes all things CHRISTMAS! I may have already started decorating. I MAY have a tree up in my house already. But just one. I have about five more to go!
Back to the lunchbox notes =-) All you have to do is download your free copy here, print them on card stock and cut them out (spelling is corrected on the pie card.) You’ll littles will love this little surprise in their lunches!
We also made these cute turkey cookies last weekend. It was an idea from Pinterest and we had all of the ingredients at home. Just take apart an Oreo, put some extra icing on the cookie. Add some candy corn feathers, put the cookie back together. Add eyes and a nose (I used a caramel bit, but you can use anything that looks like a nose.) Eat & enjoy!
