This Thomas the Train birthday party for L was probably one of my favorites. This post has been on my to do list for way to long now, I’m excited to share the details of the party. Hopefully if you’re throwing a Thomas the Train party soon, you’ll get a few ideas from this post.

Let me start by saying my littlest was train OBSESSED. Thomas was an everyday part of our lives for years, probably from about 2-4 years old. So when it came for the theme of L’s 3rd birthday, the decision was simple.
My goal for the party was simple and easy. His birthday is in October, we’re still usually adjusting to the start of the school year and trying to manage the crazy weekend activities two kids can bring. By the time I actually started planning this party, I had about a week until the actually party day. Thankfully, Amazon prime and Pinterest were a big help in making this all come together.
As I started planning the details of the party, I realized I already had so many props already at the house to use- trains and train tracks. Once I gathered a lot of those up, I went to Pinterest. From there, I used my party planning printable sheets to get it all mapped out and ordered from Amazon as I went.
The food was my favorite part of the planning. I saw the train and train cars idea all over Pinterest and figured it would be pretty easy to recreate. I found the “car” containers at the Dollar Tree and used black craft tape to create the track.

Below you’ll find the specifics for the cars.

I ordered a lot of the tags for the favors off of Etsy. Below you’ll find the links for the items I ordered from Amazon. For the favors, I used temporary tattoos and bubbles with tags attached. Since the party was at the house, I just did a bunch of outdoor water stuff for the kids. Inflatable slide, pools and sprinklers. It kept the group of 15 entertained the entire time. If you have any questions about anything else at the party, please let me know.
