Summer has come to an end over here. It’s back to work for me and school for the kiddos. I started thinking about back to school gifts a few days before meet the teacher. Since I was already back at work and moving classrooms, I didn’t have time for anything elaborate. I knew I wanted to give a gift card and some sort of school supply that I knew the teacher could use. That is when the take note back to school teacher gift came to life.
As a teacher, I use sticky notes multiple times a day in my classroom. For reminders, for my students to record their thinking, to put on top of copies, the list goes on and on. And by the end of the year, I always end up going through my entire post it stash.
For this gift, all you need are a pack of post it notes or even a cute teacher note pad or to do list. Anything the teacher can write notes on. Target has a so many options. I just went on the app, put in post it notes and ordered some for pickup. What would we do without Target pickup? When I picked them up, I grabbed a Starbucks gift card to go with. Because, what teacher doesn’t need a little pick me up at the beginning of the year?
Once you have all of the supplies together, download and print the printable on cardstock. Next, hole punch the gift card and grab some twine to complete this take note back to school teacher gift. I have all of my favorite gift giving supplies (including the twine) on my Amazon page. To finish it up, layer the items, tie them together, and add a signature. That all it takes to create this cute little back to school gift.
When it comes to teacher gifts, I can never do enough in my opinion. I know how hard my kids teachers work. I know what they sacrifice and the endless hours put in after their “paid time.” I will always go out of my way to show our appreciation.
Does your child usually bring a back to school gift for his/her teacher?
