Can you believe tomorrow is the start of December? Our elves arrived the day after Thanksgiving, bringing a lot of excitement to the house with them. Every single morning, all three of the youngest run down looking around to find them. Most days they keep the location a secret until everyone has spotted the mischievous elves. It’s been fun. I’m looking forward to all the magic that comes with the new month and Christmas holiday. Last year, I made some of my favorite holiday creations but just didn’t get around to posting about them. My goal is to share them all before Christmas, starting off with these Christmas Tree Brownies.

First make a box of brownie mix in a 9×13 pan. Allow the brownies to cool completely. Then cut them to create triangles. I love this because the edges are my favorite. So, after I cut the squares, I enjoyed the edges!
Put the cut pieces in an area to decorate them. I always put either parchments paper or cling wrap underneath for easy clean up.
Next, break apart a candy cane. I was able to get 3 tree “trunks” from a large candy cane. Make sure they’re unwrapped before placing them carefully into the end of the brownie.
Next, get some green (or any color you wish) icing. Put it into a sandwich size ziplock bag. Cut the corner of the bag off for easy frosting decorating.
Decorate however you wish!
That’s it. These Christmas tree brownies are so simple to make and always a hit with the kids. They’d even be great to bring to a party. Enjoy!
If you’re looking for more festive ideas, you don’t have to go far!
