Homemade Chex mix is one of my favorite things to make during football season. It’s perfect for game time munching and gatherings. In the past I’ve made my go to ranch chex mix, which is always a favorite. I even have a cute tag that you can use in the post if you want to gift it to neighbors. This last weekend, college football started. This meant a lot of things. First, the best time of the year is upon us! Next, it’s time to find our favorite game time snacks and appetizers. We’ve been on a buffalo chicken kick at home, so I decided to take my ranch chex recipe and add some buffalo sauce to it to see how it would work. Let me tell you….so good!

This Buffalo Ranch Chex Mix was definitely one of those once you start, you can’t stop recipes!
Here is what you’ll need
- 2 cups of rice chex
- 2 cups of corn chex
- 2 cups of mini pretzels
- 2 cups of Cheese Its
- 2 cups of oyster crackers
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 packet of ranch seasoning mix
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce/ wing sauce
instructions
First, combine the chex, cheese it’s, oyster crackers and pretzels into a large bowl.
Next, melt the butter in the microwave. Once melted, add the ranch seasoning packet along with the 1/2 cup of wing sauce. Mix well, using a whisk will help.
After that, pour the buffalo butter mixture over the snack mix. Make sure all of the snack mix is covered, continue to mix well. Then, line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the snack mixture over the baking sheet. Bake at 350 for about 30-40 minutes.
Remove from oven, place into a bowl and serve as soon as it’s cooled. Or you can also store in an air tight container for a week. ENJOY and happy football season!
