Looking for some motivating and inspiring reads to start off the new year? Today, I’m sharing my top 5 books to start the new year. These books will inspire you, they’ll motivate you and help you get where you want to mentally to start the year off strong.
Lets start things off with The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*CK. This one has been popular the last few years and I see why. So many people spend their lives caring so much of what other people think that they miss out on their own lives and lose who they really are. What to care about and what not to care about is something that this book hits on. It has so many great reviews for a reason.
Brene Brown is one of my favorite authors and motivational speakers. I read The Gifts of Imperfection years ago and I’ve read it once a year since. Usually at the start of a new year. It’s that good. When I linked it here, I noticed it was a top 5 book from Forbes that will change your outlook on life. Read the reviews, you’ll want to read this book!
This is a book I read many years ago. If you haven’t read The 5 Second Rule and struggling with getting motivated to get things done or started, I would read this book. She also has a podcast that I listen to weekly, she’s real, she’s relatable and inspiring.
I first started seeing Jay Shetty on Instagram. I noticed that I was saving a lot of his posts, almost all of which were thought provoking quotes or sayings. He has a way of putting things into words that make you feel heard and seen. When I saw him promoting Think Like A Monk, I was intrigued. Jay focuses more inward and promotes self reflection and growth.
There you have it, 5 books I have personally read and would recommend when you’re looking for that January reset. It’s the perfect time to do it. The weather is cooler, make a cup of tea, grab your favorite comfty blanket and one of these books. You won’t be disappointed.
